 " A warm welcome to Members old and new! 

The Swan Valley Dressage Association was inaugurated in 2007 to support and develop the sport of Dressage, primarily in the beautiful Swan Valley region of Western Australia.

 

Each year begins with a new committee with new ideas and enthusiasm to further develop the Association from its successful foundations, and this year is no exception.  In fact it looks like a very exciting year ahead with plans to increase the number of Training & Development days, Clinics and Seminars, with the particular aim to appeal to members riding at every level of dressage. 

 

 We have a number of new initiatives which include:

  • "Early bird" discounts for new members and membership renewals.(Now expired)
  • Membership to include one FREE training test on training days where tests are held.
  • Training days to be held at several venues in the Swan Valley and to include FEI tests for Young Riders and Eventers in addition to EFA tests.
  • Clinics with International Coaches culminating in a Competition Day.
  • The aim is for the final competition of the year to conclude with formal presentations.

Yes, the 2009 Committee is particularly enthusiastic!

 

We kicked off the year with a "Freestyle Dressage Celebration"  held at the beautiful Brookleigh Estate. We all enjoyed a wonderful afternoon being entertained by a talented team of riders and horses and had a great crowd who were rewarded with some fantastic freestyle dressage and training demonstrations.  A review of the event can be seen at www.perthhorse.com

We also launched the new 2009 SVDA uniform and accessories and they are now available to purchase from our on-line shop. 

 

Many people joined, but as we are not having a ‘capped’ number of members, there is still time for you to join. You can join the Association "on-line" now with payment by Bank Transfer or simply complete the Membership Form (which can be downloaded from this site) and post it with a cheque.
